Foundation for Environmental Education FEE Suomi-Finland builds a sustainable future by promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Finland. 

The organisation engages in public affairs and advocacy work to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and serves as an umbrella organisation, bringing together actors in environmental education to communicate and influence together. 

FEE Suomi offers the Green Flag programme and provides training for education professionals in cooperation with other partners. In addition, it promotes sustainability in the tourism sector through its owned company, Going Green Oy. 

FEE Suomi is a full member of the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), one of the world’s largest organisations promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

Green Flag programme (Vihreä lippu)

FEE Suomi manages the Green Flag programme, Finland’s largest sustainable development programme and environmental certification for early childhood education centres, schools and other educational institutions. The programme materials are available in Finnish and Swedish.  

Green Flag is part of international FEE Eco-Schools programme, which is recommended as a tool for sustainability education by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and UNESCO.
